The Bummy Bum
Once upon a time there was a bummy bum. And this bummy bum was attached to a short tall man. He was not the shortest tall man, but he was close. One day this short tall man decided to go for a walk and he took his bummy bum with him.
As he walked through the park, his legs began to get tired. Just then the man saw a bench. “I’ll sit down on that bench,” he said to himself and so he did. “This bench is very comfortable,” he thought. “I have a very comfy bum,” he said to himself.
After some time of watching the ducks and the geese in the pond, the man began to get hungry. So he got up off his bummy bum and began walking again. He soon came across a hot dog stand, where the man purchased a hotdog and began to eat it.
“That’s very good,” said the man, “Yummy yum!” After taking a few more bites he continued, “Now I definitely feel better in my Tummy Tum.”
He continued walking, but unfortunately he was so engrossed in eating his hot dog that he tripped and dropped it on the ground. As if that weren’t bad enough, he tried to catch himself on a lamppost, but succeeded only in twirling himself around and landing hard on his bummy bum.
“Ow!” he cried, “My Bummy Bum!” Moreover he noticed that he had landed on his hotdog, squishing it mercilessly. “Oh no,” he gasped, “Now I have no hot dog, and I’m still hungry in my Tummy Tum.”
He sat sadly on his bummy bum with tears slowly forming in his eyes. He got up, picked up the remains of his hot dog and started walking glumly back to his house. As he walked past a garbage can he threw the flattened hot dog away. Suddenly, he caught a snatch of music in the air and that gave him an idea. “Maybe if I Hummy Hum it will make me feel better,” he thought.
He continued to Hummy Hum as he shuffled home with an empty Tummy Tum and his now dirty Bummy Bum in tow. As he walked he grew closer to the music that he had heard before and became interested. He took a small detour and found a group of musicians playing happily in the park.
The short tall man approached them and exclaimed, “You guys are wonderful! That looks so fun.”
“Come join us,” they said. One of our friends had to go home, and they motioned to where he should sit and play. He walked over, picked up the sticks and began to energetically Drummy Drum. At first he stood up, but finally he sat down on his Bummy Bum and continued to Drummy Drum for hours. He stayed so long that all the other musicians left and he was alone to Drummy Drum by himself.
Eventually he remembered that his Tummy Tum was still hungry and so he made his way home. As he opened the door, his wife greeted him and asked, “It’s been a long time. Did you have fun?”
He replied simply, “I had Somey Some.”
