SuperBowl Hero
As anyone who knows me can attest, there are few things I like less than (American) football. The only good thing the SuperBowl has ever done was have good commercials. Especially the one that started it all 20 years ago: 1984.
This year however, things are a little different. One of my former students, Greg Doerman, was on the front page of the Salt Lake City Tribune in an article about a visiting Russian volleyball team. The article talks about their thoughts on the SuperBowl. Here is a quote from the article:
As far as the Russians were concerned, Sunday’s showstopper was not New England quarterback Tom Brady’s three-touchdown, MVP heroics – it was Greg Doerman, a clever Utahn who could twist balloons into fantastic shapes, a motorcycle, a mermaid, a giraffe and even a volleyball player.
Way to be Greg!
