Since this is the first sacrament program of January, it is traditionally considered the first born of the year. Therefore, if yours is a male sacrament program, it will have to be sacrificed. The proper way is, of course, as a burnt offering. It must first be cut (not torn) in half lengthwise and then each half burned completely. Any ash that remains must be scattered to the winds.
