It’s New Year’s Resolutions time, and that means fun for all! Just be careful which of your resolutions you write down on the back of an old sacrament program. It’s a very common practice to write a resolution or two on a sacrament program to enlist the help of angels, but remember there is a potential downside as well. Although you will receive angelic aid for such resolutions (as a famous example, Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley’s writing of Frankenstein in a single year), if you fail to keep your resolution it is considered to be denying the Holy Ghost and you will be condemned to outer darkness. So please be careful — these are powers that shouldn’t be trifled with.
