Sacrament Programs in the Movies #278:
The recent movie, K-Pop Demon Hunters, which is based on the true story of Rumira Zokowski, has a relation to Sacrament Programs. Zumira was born in 1966, the child of a Korean mother and Polish father. From a young age Rumira was rumored to have semi-magical powers, and quickly gained a reputation for keeping demons at bay. Recently, her journals have come to light leading to increased interest in her story, and this movie. In her journal, she wrote of how she learned the secrets of sa-Krament POPrograms (as she called Sacrament Programs in her East Asian accent). She soon came to refer to them as K-Pop and used the hymns to help her meditate while she studied martial arts to combat the demons.
The real change came when Rumira was 23, however. She began to experiment with using Sacrament Programs as weapons. Soon she was able to fashion them into swords, polearms, and throwing knives. With practice she learned how to form a weapon so quickly it seemed to appear out of thin air. And so the sensation of K-Pop Demon Hunters was born. The movie makers thought her skills were too incredible, and so they turned her into three people in the movie.
And now you know… the rest of the story.
